               About Us

The Thousand Islands Bluegrass Preservation Society Inc. is a charitable organization dedicated to preserve and promote the future of Bluegrass and Traditional Country Music in our region. Our
mission is to provide a forum for fans, pickers, and artists to share in
the enjoyment of preserving an important part of this country's
Musical Heritage.
In our first three years of service, the Yhousand Islands Bluegrass Preservation Society Inc. has organized concerts and a weekend festival bringing musicians of international reputation to the local stage. The events have been widely received drawing audiences from both the United States and Canada. We plan to continue these events while expanding activities to other towns and villages in the tri-county area.
In addition, a program is being developed that will allow us to bring
a presentation on into interested schools. The project is designed to
make this truly Homegrown Music available to the musical education
of our children. Workshops will teach the historical significance of
these cherished musical roots, while outreach services may include
formal training in hopes of harvesting future generations of artists and
musicians.
We are sure you are aware of the many benefits the Thousand Island Bluegrass Preservation Inc.. can bring to our area. The Cultural Development gained through our events and programs enable us to better focus on our cultural beginnings and the roots of the American Dream. The financial benefits to the communities involved are especially welcomed, particularly in the off season
In order to gain the resources necessary to continue our mission,
we need support. While we realize the current economic situation, we are asking tri-county firms to assist to whatever extent they are able Your tax deductible contribution is greatly needed. Help us to grow Join hands in the passing on of a beloved tradition to future
generations of Bluegrass lovers.
Some of the artist we have presented in the past are The Gillis Bros.,   The Stevens Family,  2nd Edition, Bob Paisley, The Lonesome River Band, The Bluegrass Thoroughbreds, Sally
Jones, Mac Wiseman    Coon Creek and many more.
